In our on-the-go, fast-paced, electronically-connected, and security-conscious society it is rare
for people carry large amounts of cash or have a check book in their
possession. In fact, as you are reading this, think about your own
situation. How much cash do you have in your wallet - maybe $5 or $10? Since most merchants accept credit or debit cards and with just
the swipe of a card we can access our financial accounts with ease, why should we risk carrying cash?
While this trend may be an advantage to our ability to move quickly and respond to changes in marketplace, it
doesn’t help increase your organization’s contribution income if you only are able to accept cash or paper
checks.
The
self-service eGiving® Center (SGC)™ - is a self-service kiosk typically placed in
your foyer, narthex or lobby to allow patrons and those who
attend your events to contribute using their credit or debit cards.
The process is fast, easy and secure. Using End- to-End
Encryption technology provided by FIS Global-Worldpay,
the card holder data is encrypted at the point of swiping and is never seen
in the clear until it reaches the card processing gateway where it
is decrypted and processed. Your customers can rest assured that
their credit card number is always protected and kept safe.
Because the SGC is designed to be an un-attended donation station, you won't
have to pay a staff member to stand at the terminal. The simple, self-guided
graphical user interface (GUI) leads the donor quickly through the process of
selecting the funds to which they wish to contribute, provides them a receipt,
emails you the transaction details, and then prepares for the next donor. The
only time you will be needed is when you have so many donations that the 270
feet of receipt paper (that’s almost 500 donations) is depleted – then it
only takes about 30-seconds to replace it. Such a problem to have!

There are two countertop models available. The countertop models are easily moved to any location you desire. The 17" model has a larger display.
The 15" model is our newer model that provides a faster processor and an integrated camera that provides an image of the donor to aid in
crediting of the donation to the correct person, in case the donor doesn't enter their email address.
Both models are WiFi enabled so you don't have to worry about running Ethernet cables.
We are no longer offering the floor model due to manufacturing issues, but are pursing a more robust solution from a different manufacturer.
There are other providers of similar devices. But only the
self-service eGiving® Center has:
- NO account setup fees
- NO monthly license fees
- NO monthly or annual maintenance fees
- 24x7 Customer Support (including Sundays!)

The SGC is able to present the information to the user in English, French,
German and Spanish all with the touch of a button -allowing you to reach the
four most prevalent languages in the United States and North America. Other
languages can be added if required. Of course, you want to make contributing to
you organization as easy and as friendly as you possibly can. Providing prompts
and information in a language the donor can easily understand will only help you
increase your contribution income. In fact, for large multi-cultural events,
consider setting up additional terminals already set to a specific language with
appropriate signage!
